22 PORTRAITS OF YVES SAINT LAURENT

I had a number of YSL memo cards from my spell working in Luxury Goods (2001–2005). I didn't really know what to do with them, then one day I thought I would paint portraits of Yves Saint Laurent himself. There were 22 cards in the end. My friend and colleague Luca, with whom I had worked at the Corporate Image Department of the brand all those years ago was doing some illustration or a book about YSL, and I thought he might like them, so I sent them to him.
