BUST OF WILLIAM BLAKE
I had spent a long time modelling William Blake's face, but I could not quite get the likeness. In a pique of frustration I pushed my thumb into the face, then decided to fire the clay anyway. One of my first attempts to make my own glaze, once the piece was fired for a second time, I placed two blue beads near where his eyes should be. It made me laugh and I think it is an exceptional piece, but I seem to be the only person that does.
