FOAM TS ELIOT
For a spell, all my work contained foam. I had a foam mattress in the shed and I would cut bits off and make sculptures from it. This is a model of TS Eliot's head, carved from foam, coated in latex and then painted with enamel paint. As mentioned elsewhere, this sculpture shares qualities with the poem The Wasteland in that you may take it to the top of a tall building, throw it off, and it will bounce right back up into the sky. Cruellest month, my big round backside.
