Continuing my interest in carved lime wood and the lives of the saints, St Christopher’s Hand Bones takes off from something I read in Brian Catling’s Hollow, combined with Jacobus De Voragine’s Golden Voyage, namely that St Christopher was 12 feet tall and had the head of a dog.
