Cobweb Trophy
Charred Freecycle Pin, Varnish

I came by a reasonably sized pile of pine planks on the freecycle website. The wood had been in the owner's garage for a number of years and now it was time for a clear out. The first thing I made was the The Assassination of John F Kennedy Bird Table. Next I thought to make a copy of a Greek Amphora by cutting a series of octagons in varying diameters. However, I did not make the handles, so it isn't an amphora. Next I charred the wood with a blowtorch and painted the whole thing in varnish to dampen the smell of fire.
