As described in the Objects section, A Hole In The Water was a sculptural installation photographed at St Mary Magdalene Church in Eton Wick on 13th May 2024. The text, adapted from a 1901 inquest report concerning the suicide of my paternal great grandfather, was formed into a three act play, set at the Inquest and in Hell. The sculpture was designed as a portal to emancipate those who died by suicide from languishing in hell, although according to the text, I successfully freed my great-grandfather and others, but became stuck in the place myself. The book was case-bound by hand, with tipped in photographs, covered in black Japanese linen. It is also available as a perfect bound soft back book in the shop.
